病態收集癖（或強迫囤積症）指過度大量收集物品且無法或不願意丟棄任何物品的行為，收集的這些物品會佔去家中很多空間，從而給家人帶來不便、增加煩惱。（Pathological collecting (or compulsive hoarding) is a pattern of behavior that is characterized by the excessive acquisition of and inability or unwillingness to discard large quantities of objects that cover the living areas of the home and cause significant distress or impairment.）

據估計，成年人當中患強迫囤積症的約佔2-5%，其中，年長者多於年輕人，男女皆有，而且此症比例多與家庭收入成反比。囤積症在患有心理疾病的人群中更常見，如，抑鬱症、焦慮症，以及注意力不足過動症等。（Prevalence rates of compulsive hoarding have been estimated at 2-5% in adults, and is greater in older adults than younger groups, in men and women, and is inversely related to household income. Hoarding appears to be more common in people with psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.）
