Haldia Institute of Technology
Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is located at Haldia, West Bengal, India. It is a semi-autonomous engineering college. The college was founded in 1996, with 90 students and three departments, by ICARE.It covers around 50 acres of land.There are around 1500 computers.It has a huge central library consisting of books and journals.A research centre has been recently inaugrated by the chairman Mr. Laxman Seth.The college started within the Haldia Municipality building. It is a residential engineering college, with facilities including a bank, post office, medical unit, central library, restaurants, play grounds and gymnasium.
